Swing vs Intraday Trading

Are you a Swing Trader or Intraday Trader and which is better. That’s what we want know right?

Let me tell you, that both the Swing and Intraday trader have their own advantages. Let’s take a look at Swing and Intraday trading individually. If you are a beginner in forex trading you will see where you fit in.  I myself, Swing trade from time to time and I can personally say it has allot of advantages. For example Swing trading commission is less than Intraday trading that is do to the fact that the amount of trades a swing trader conducts throughout the day is less than a Intraday trade.

As a Swing trader sometimes you will see yourself placing a couple of trades and you let it ride for days or months. A Intraday trader you are constantly active; buying and selling. Swing Traders analyzing the market more and wait for the right moment where all the cards are lined up; whereas the Intraday traders are in for the rush . Don’t get me wrong they still analyze the market but they are quicker to gain a few points right away then sit and wait. See the more trades and Intraday trader makes the quicker they can profit or they can also lose. Since Intraday traders make several trades a day they have to pay commission on each trade where it become more expensive. Swing traders in the other hand would probably trade a couple times a day therefore the commission’s would be less.

By now it seems that the swing trader has a better advantage but let me just say that Intraday trader closes all their trades by the end of the day while Swing traders will leave their trades open overnight risking more. Now the forex market is open 24 hours a day. It opens on Sunday and closes on Friday. Intraday trader would trade at most 8 hours if not less that’s my personal experience if you can stay awake longer than that’s great for you.

As far as losses goes Intraday traders normally make up their loss quicker since they make multiple trades throughout the day as to where a Swing trader would take more time to make up their loss since they only place a couple of trades.

Who makes more money? That’s what I wanted to know when I first started.

In reality it’s up to the you! Swing or Intraday trade; a trade is a trade if you paid attention to the market you will profit from it but if you place an order and you did not pay close attention to the market you will lose, no matter if you’re a Intraday trader or a Swing trader.

As far as your lifestyle the Swing trades are more relaxed in where the Intraday traders are more active.
